Control Emulator Definition Variables

The $AUTHOR Variable

developer’s name

The $AUTHOR variable contains the control emulator developer’s name. The value is defined in the General Description / General Information section of the questionnaire.

The $CEDATE Variable

creation date

Type: String, Read-only

The $CEDATE variable contains the creation date of the control emulator.

The $CEFILE Variable

file name

Type: String, Read-only

The $CEFILE variable contains the full name of the control emulator being executed. This is the file name under which the control emulator is stored in the database.

The $DBFILE Variable

database file name

Type: String, Read-only

The $DBFILE variable contains the name of the control emulator database file currently in use.

The $MACHIN Variable

MACHIN name

Type: String, Read-only

The $MACHIN variable contains the control emulator MACHIN name, not including the MACHIN number. This variable is the name portion of the control emulator being executed.

The $MCHDSC Variable

machine descriptor

Type: String, Read-only

The $MCHDSC variable contains the control emulator machine descriptor. The machine descriptor is built based on machine characteristics (machine type, positioning modes available, primary output units, etcetera). The machine descriptor can be seen in the QUEST View»Database listing.

The $MCHNUM Variable

MACHIN number (0:NA)

Type: Numeric, Read-only

The $MCHNUM variable contains the control emulator MACHIN number. This variable is the number portion of the control emulator being executed. A value of zero (0) indicates that a MACHIN identification number was not defined for the control emulator.

The $PLEV Variable

Product level

Type: Numeric, Read-only

The $PLEV variable contains the level number of the Control Emulator product.

The $PVER Variable

\textbf{{\char36}PVER}

Product version

Type: Numeric, Read-only

The $PVER variable contains the version number of the Control Emulator product.
