SDRC Master Series to Icam Post Interface Documentation
Overview
The SDRC Master Series Interface Kit is designed to accommodate differences in syntax between SDRC's and ICAM's postprocessing languages. SDRC Master Series APT commands in an ASCII CLDATA format file are input to CAD-APT and CAM-POST. The syntax for these statements are found in the Master Series manual. See CAM-POST chapter "Post-processor Vocabulary" for more information on CAM-POST supported syntax.
Only commands beginning with certain Master Series major words are translated. Other postprocessor statements are passed through or thrown out. Not all translations shown in this document may be used with all ICAM posts. For example, a CYCLE statement may be selected in Master Series and correctly reformatted by the interface, but the post-processor may not support that CYCLE type; a postprocessing error would result.
CAD-APT and CAM-POST can be automatically invoked using a script. The file will be posted regardless of the number of translations that cannot be made. The messages in the "*.lis" file are meant only to warn the user that there are items in the ASCII CLDATA file that could not be interpreted. These items should be checked to ensure valid tape file output.
